Man suffers serious injuries in Margate stabbing
Emergency services were called to an incident early this morning
A stabbing in Margate has left a man in his 40s in hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
Police were called to reports of a serious assault in Northdown Road near its junction with Ethelbert Road shortly after 3am this morning (Saturday 9th August 2025).
A 20-year-old man from Thanet has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
A Kent Police spokesperson said:
"An investigation is underway including the examination of CCTV footage in the area and a forensic examination of the scene.
"Witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police and anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/137922/25.
"Drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage."
