A man's suffered serious head injuries after a violent assault by a group of people in Tunbridge Wells.

Kent Police have now issued CCTV images of two people they would like to identify.

The assault happened at around 6.55pm on 19 September, shortly after the victim had left The Brick Works pub in High Brooms.

It is reported a group of males followed the victim as he walked along Powder Mill Lane, at the junction with Wilman Road.

He was then punched in the head and fell to the floor, where he was kicked and possibly cut with a sharp object.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

"Since the incident, officers have been carrying out multiple enquiries, including an extensive review of potential footage from CCTV and doorbell cameras, as well as the identification of several witnesses.

"The investigation has also led to the emergence of phone footage which shows some of the clothing, as well as bags, worn by two people who police would like to speak to."
