Man charged after suspected acid attack in Rochester pub
It happened at Ye Arrow on the High Street and left a man with facial injuries
A man has been charged after a suspected acid attack in a Rochester pub, leaving a man with facial injuries.
Kent Police was called to a disturbance at ‘Ye Arrow’ on High Street at 10.15pm on Saturday 13 September 2025.
It is alleged that a man was assaulted, and a corrosive substance was thrown which landed on his face.
Officers attended the scene alongside emergency services.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries not reported as life-threatening.
Alfie Russell from Clifton Road, Hornchurch in London has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14 October 2025.
A 23 year old man from Wickford, Essex, a 19 year old man from Purfleet-on-Thames and a 21 year old man from Upminster, were previously arrested in connection with the incident.
The three men remain on bail while enquiries continue.
