Man in his 40s dies after Ditton road collision involving a Vauxhall Astra

A man's died after his car left the road and hit a tree near Maidstone.

Kent Police received reports of the crash at 1.27pm on Saturday (13th June).

The car veered off London Road in Ditton, crashing into a tree and fence opposite a Lidl supermarket entrance.

The driver, identified as a man in his 40s, was airlifted to a London hospital and sadly passed away. His family has been notified.

Investigators Seeking Dashcam Evidence

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

They are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or spotted the vehicle prior to the incident to reach out.

Motorists who were in the vicinity are encouraged to review dashcam footage that might support ongoing inquiries.
