Lorry driver dies in M20 crash
The fatal collision happened near Ashford yesterday afternoon
A lorry driver has died in a crash near Ashford.
Kent Police was called at 3.16pm yesterday afternoon (5 June) to the incident on the coastbound side of the M20 carriageway, at the junction nine slip road.
Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, where a lorry was found to have left the carriageway.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s, was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware.
An investigation into the circumstances is underway.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
"Anyone who saw what happened or who may have dashcam footage of the lorry prior to the incident, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit."
