Fresh appeal after Faversham hit and run

A 65-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition

Kent police are renewing their appeal for information after a 65-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit and run.

The incident happened last Saturday night (27th September) in Faversham.

The man was hit whilst walking in the North Lane area.

Three people have since been arrested and released on bail.

The man is still in a critical condition in hospital.

A Kent police spokesperson said "At around 7.45pm on Saturday 27 September a 65 year old man was struck as he was walking in the North Lane area, close to the junction with Partridge Lane.

"In the moments before the collision a Ford Focus and another small hatchback were seen travelling south on North Lane in the direction of South Road.

"Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak to the drivers of these vehicles as they may have important information or witnessed a Nissan flatbed / tipper’s movements before the collision.

"Following the collision the victim was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition."

Any witnesses to the incident or who may have seen a Nissan tipper in the area are being asked to contact the police quoting reference BS/CF/066/25.
