Crews deal with grass fire in Whitstable

A number of crews have dealt with a grass fire in Whitstable.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called out to Plough Lane on Saturday night (25 July), sending two crews initially and a further four to bring the blaze under control.

Crews remained at the scene overnight, dampening down remaining hotspots.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
