Bus window smashed sending glass onto a passenger and her child in Gravesend

It happened last Wednesday as the vehicle travelled along Ash Road

Police are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage to a bus in Gravesend.

The incident happened as the vehicle was travelling along Ash Road at 7.26pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025.

It is alleged a brick thrown by some teenagers on cycles smashed a window, causing glass to land on a passenger and her child.

Chief Inspector Will Lay said: "Our officers are liaising with the bus company and an investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the damage. We are urging any witnesses or anyone who knows those involved in the incident to contact us.

"While no injuries were reported on this occasion, this criminality poses a serious risk to those travelling on the road. Patrols will be deployed to the area while we seek to track down the offenders."
