The head coach of the Worcester Wolves men's team has labelled making it to the end of season final as a "big achievement".

An 82-66 win at home on Saturday (11 April) at the University of Worcester Arena against Manchester Magic in the semi-finals of the National Basketball League Division One play-offs saw the side progress to the next stage.

It follows their quarter-final victory at home over London Stars, after they were also previously crowned champions of Pool A of the division last month following a 81-69 away win over St Helens Saints and going unbeaten at home over the course of the regular season.

Both results in the play-offs have seen them kept their unbeaten home run intact, and head coach Dean Blake said it has been a full club effort to get to this point and it's great they've made it to this point.

"I'm so proud of them for everything that they're doing," he said.

"I did say to them I wanted them to enjoy earning a spot in the play-off final because you don't know what next season's going to bring, players will leave naturally for graduation and stuff, but I don't know what success we'll have, if we do have any success at all.

"So I really want them to enjoy the moments of success that we do have this season, so I said to them, enjoy it, but don't enjoy it too much because we still have games to prepare for."

They'll play Solent Kestrels in the final on the 26 April.
