Smoke warning after fire breaks out at Worcestershire recycling plant
Firefighters are battling a large blaze in Stoke Prior
Emergency services are urging locals to keep windows and doors shut due to thick smoke from a significant fire at a recycling facility in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
About 30 firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze at Total Metal Recovery Ltd, which started early Tuesday at around 5:00 BST.
The B4091 road passing the location had been closed as crews tackle the fire.
No injuries have been reported, and the Environment Agency has been alerted.
HWFRS Advises Caution
On social media, the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) shared updates about the incident.
"HWFRS crews are currently in attendance and tackling a large fire in the Stoke Prior area of Bromsgrove. We advise you to keep all windows and doors closed and avoid the area if possible," HWFRS said on Facebook.
Residents are advised to follow the Fire Service's guidance as crews continue their work at the scene.
