Police investigating after cat injured in suspected BB gun shooting in Worcestershire

Police have launched an investigation after a cat was injured in a suspected BB or pellet gun shooting in Tenbury.

The cat's owner reported that she last saw her pet leaving their home in Spring Gardens at around 11.30pm on 31st May 2026.

Police said when the cat returned home the next morning, it was found to have suffered a "circular wound."

The cat was taken to a veterinary practise where staff advised the injury was consistent with "being shot by a BB or pellet gun."

Officers are appealing for witnesses for were in the Spring gardens area that evening and who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward.
