Man injured following assault in Droitwich

A man has suffered facial injured after an assault Droitwich.

The incident happened at around 10pm on Friday evening on Westlands Walk.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Robinson said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened on Westlands Walk last night and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or the moments leading up to it.

“We understand a woman was in the area at the time of the assault and believe she may have information which could prove vital to our investigation. Even if you think what you saw may not be significant, it could help us build a clearer picture of events.

“I would urge the woman, or anyone else who was in the area around 10pm, to please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
