Man dies after being injured carrying out work at Worcestershire pub

No third-party involvement suspected, say police

A 62-year-old man has died after an incident at the Park Gate pub on Stourbridge Road, Kidderminster.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the pub around 12.40pm on Wednesday, 8th April.

The man was discovered in a critical condition and required life support before being transported to hopsital.

West Mercia Police confirmed the man's death, stating: “We can confirm the man has sadly died.

"Enquiries are on-going to establish the cause of death, however, there is not believed to be any third-party involvement or gross negligence.

"HSE has been updated.”
