Man appears in court accused of murder in Worcester

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the body of man was found in a garage in Worcester.

Emergency services attended an address on Surman Street around 6am on February 26 following the report of a garage on fire.

The body of a man was found inside.

Thomas Bowden, 34, of no fixed abode appeared at Birmingham Crown Court today (March 10) accused of the murder of Shaun Skyvington.

Bowen was remanded into custody until a plea and trial preparation hearing at Worcester Crown Court on May 8.

A provisional trial date has been set for August 24.

Another 34-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
