A 100 metre cordon in Kidderminster has been lifted after the discovery of an unexploded ordnance.

Emergency services were called to Ismere Way yesterday afternoon.

A bomb disposal team has since removed the item from an unoccupied property, and residents have been able to return home.

The cordon was put in place in the Broadwaters area of Kidderminster after the discovery of an unexploded ordnance.

Officers were called to Ismere Way following a report of the item being discovered in an unoccupied property.

Experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) were called to the scene and residents within the cordon were evacuated.
