A Kidderminster man has been jailed for over five years after being convicted of drug offenses at Worcester Crown Court.

Syed Ahmad, 36, of Gheluvelt Avenue, Kidderminster, was sentenced to five years and two months after being found guilty of cocaine-related offenses on 26th February.

Ahmad was sentenced to three years and nine months for being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

An additional 17 months were added to his sentence after a previous suspended sentence for involvement in drug supply was activated.

DC Kane Baker of North Worcestershire Proactive CID expressed satisfaction with the court's decision.

He highlighted the negative impact of drugs on communities and emphasized the importance of acting on intelligence to dismantle drug operations.

According to Baker, drug dealers exploit vulnerable individuals, leading to increased crime, such as shoplifting and burglary.

West Mercia Police encourages local communities to report any signs of criminal activity through their website.

Information about drugs can be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers.

This investigation is part of Operation Target, an initiative by West Mercia Police to combat serious and organized crime.
