Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) across the county have spent the past three months tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour, speeding and drug-related crime, based on feedback from the public.

Police are now gathering views again ahead of setting their next priorities in May.

NPTs work with partner organisations to address both long- and short-term concerns in local communities, with priorities reviewed every four months to reflect the issues causing the most concern.

Once agreed, residents can expect increased police activity in those areas, including a greater visible presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement.

Hertfordshire police said that while neighbourhood priorities provide a local focus, officers will continue to respond to emergency calls and investigate serious crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, alongside wider force priorities.

Public feedback plays a key role in deciding which issues are prioritised, alongside analysis of crime data.

Residents are being encouraged to take part in the survey, even if they have shared their views previously.

The survey is available via the Herts Connected platform. While signing up is not required, those who register can be contacted for further information if needed.

Updates on local priorities can be found on social media or via the ‘Your area’ section of the Hertfordshire Constabulary website.
