Drugs worth £20,000 found during police raid in Redditch
A man arrested during Prospect Road investigation
Police in Redditch conducted a warrant at a home on Prospect Road this morning, uncovering suspected Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £20,000.
Officers from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team, County Lines teams, and a dog handler entered the property following intelligence suggesting illegal drug activity.
Once inside, they discovered a significant quantity of suspected heroin and cocaine. A man was seen throwing three bags of suspected drugs, along with approximately 500 wraps, from a bedroom window. An additional 200 wraps were discovered packaged in a bedroom.
A man in his 40s has been taken into custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Redditch, Rich Field said:
“This morning we executed a misuse of drugs warrant at an address in Prospect Road, Redditch following intelligence around suspected drug dealing.
“We found a large quantity of Class A drugs – heroin and cocaine – and arrested a man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
“The harm illegal drugs such as these reap on our communities is well documented and we will continue to disrupt and pursue those peddling them to keep our town safe."
