A plan to fell a number of trees at a hospital in Worcestershire has been put forward.

An application to chop down four trees at Worcestershire Royal Hospital's been submitted to Worcester City Council.

Included in the total is a Norway maple which has branches overhanging a building and car park and is described as a “dead tree”.

Removing deadwood from the crown of an oak labelled as having “significant deadwood throughout crown, posing risks to people and property” in planning documents and removing ivy from a wild cherry tree are also included in the plans.

It follows a tree survey in October where more than 300 trees across the site were inspected.
