Two taken to hospital after bus crash in Cheltenham

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a Stagecoach bus and a car in Cheltenham yesterday (February 2nd).

Emergency services attended the scene on the A46 Sturdington Road at around 13:30pm, and the road was closed while recovery operations took place.

Stagecoach say a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.

The bus company said in a statement: "The safety of our passengers, drivers and other road users is our absolute priority, and we are working closely with the authorities to understand the cause of this incident".

Gloucestershire Police said two people were taken to hospital to be assessed.

National Grid also attended the scene and temporarily switched off the power supply while the bus was recovered.
