Police appeal for witnesses after group of men rob man in Cheltenham
The victim sustained a head wound after being hit with a bottle
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a group of men injured a man in a robbery in Cheltenham last night (Wednesday 24 September).
Police were called to Montpellier Gardens shortly before 9.40pm with a report that a group of men were attacking another man.
Upon attendance it was found that a man had sustained a head wound after being hit with a bottle and also had his bag stolen.
The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
The suspects, who were all wearing dark coloured clothing, ran off following the attack.
Attending officers conducted searches in the area and three men were located and detained.
The men, who are all from Cheltenham and aged 35, 42 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
They all remain in police custody at this time.
Enquiries are continuing and officers are asking anyone who was in the park at the time and saw what happened to make contact with police.
