Police appeal after motorcyclist dies in A417 collision near Maisemore
Investigators seek witnesses and dashcam footage following fatal crash
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal crash on the A417 near Maisemore occurred on Thursday, 16th April.
The tragic accident happened at approximately 3.50pm and involved a motorbike and a Ford Transit van near Overton Farm.
The motorcyclist, a man from Gloucester, suffered severe injuries and, despite efforts from nearby individuals and paramedics, was declared dead at the crash site.
His family has been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
The van's driver was evaluated by paramedics and was found to have no significant injuries.
Temporary road closures were implemented to allow a collision investigation, which have now been removed.
Police are reaching out to anyone with information or dashcam footage to aid their investigation into the accident.
