Lorry left hanging off side of road after crash in Cheltenham

Police say the driver of the lorry did not sustain any serious injuries

A lorry was left hanging off the side of a road after a single-vehicle collision in Cheltenham this morning (June 4).

Gloucestershire Police were called at around 11:50am to a report that a lorry had crashed through the central reservation on Tewkesbury Road and was hanging off the side of it.

The road was closed between the Princess Elizabeth Way roundabout and Gloucester Road while emergency services were at the scene and recovery of the lorry took place.

Police say the driver of the lorry was assessed by paramedics but was not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

The road reopened at around 16:30 this afternoon (June 4) with Gloucestershire Police thanking drivers for their patience.
