Joshua Osude out of action after shower slip
The injury has resulted in a partial rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament
Forest Green Rovers winger Joshua Osude is set to be out of action for over two months following an unfortunate incident where he fell while getting out of the shower, resulting in a partial rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament.
The 27-year-old has been a key player for Robbie Savage's side, featuring in all five National League matches this season and scoring in the team's 2-1 victory against Worthing.
Robbie Savage shared the news during a press conference, saying: “Josh got out of the shower, fell on his knee, and a scan showed a partial rupture of his ACL. So, it’s going to put him back eight weeks, which is a blow, because he’s been brilliant for us. We’ll not only miss him on the pitch, but in the dressing room as well because of his energy and his charisma - he gets the lads going. It’s a blow, not our luck at the minute, where a player who probably makes the biggest impact in the league coming off the bench, worked so hard against Altrincham, and this happened to him the next morning - a little bit of bad luck for him, for us.”
Osude's career began at grassroots club Bishop’s Stortford Swifts in the Essex Olympian Football League. He later joined Hashtag United in 2019, where he made 71 appearances and scored eight goals.
His journey continued through various clubs, leading to his joining Woking from Hashtag United in March 2025.
Osude signed with Forest Green Rovers in February 2026, marking another step in his football journey.
