Man charged after high-speed pursuit by Gloucestershire Police on M5

A man has been charged with multiple offences after causing a high-speed pursuit with police on the M5 in Gloucestershire.
Callum McLuckie, 41, was charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by a police officer, driving a motor vehicle when above the legal alcohol limit and aggravated vehicle taking.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon (August 27th) after after 12:45pm, when officers tried to stop a car that had been driving dangerously.
A police chase soon began as the driver of the car began to speed off, with the pursuit taking place between Junction 11 and the Gloucester service station, some 6 miles away.
McLuckie has been released on bail and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on October 13th.
Gloucestershire Police are now investigating the incident, looking to speak to anyone who may have been travelling along the road at the time of the incident.
