Food truck granted license despite objections over litter and parking
The pizza and pasta truck will only be allowed to trade during restricted hours
A new pizza and pasta food truck near a KFC in Quedgeley has been approved, despite worries from locals about traffic, litter and parking.
Ciprian Iusan and Luliana Laurentiu have been granted permission to trade from Goodridge Avenue in Quedgeley.
The decision comes after several objections were raised at the meeting. One objector complained that there were already around ten food outlets nearby and said the proposed site had “no toilet facilities, no water, no correct drainage.
Concerned by accessibility they said ''It’s not the correct place for something like that to go to.”
The owner of the food truck, Mr Laurentiu, has lived in the city for a decade. He explained that the food truck would be 15 metres from the public highway in an elevated area with its own access and that it is not a public road.
Gloucester City Council has granted the licence but restricted trading hours to evenings only.
