Cheltenham man given order after targeting older people

A man has been banned from parts of Cheltenham, after reports that he repeatedly targeted older and vulnerable people, for money.
Jimmy Doran, 25, has been given an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI), in a bid to curb his behaviour.
The ASBI was granted by Gloucester and Cheltenham County Court on Thursday (3 September).
The court heard that, over a number of weeks, Gloucestershire Police received several complaints that Doran was targeting vulnerable people in the community, befriending them and then taking their money and valuables.
As a result of his behaviour, Cheltenham Solace secured the injunction, which bans him from certain addresses in Cheltenham. Doran is also prohibited from causing alarm, harassment, distress, or using violence, to any person in Gloucestershire.
Under the injunction, Doran is forbidden from:
• Engaging in conduct which causes or is capable of causing alarm or harassment or distress to any person within Gloucestershire;
• Using or threatening to use violence towards any person within Gloucestershire;
• Being within the grounds of a number of addresses named in the order.
