Funding available for sports and community groups in Brockworth
The initiative aims to improve access to health and fitness for local people
Sports clubs and community groups in Brockworth are being invited to apply for funding to improve their facilities and bring more sport and fitness to the area.
The funding has come from contributions from housing developers who have built new homes in the area. The money will be distributed by Tewkesbury Borough Council.
With a total of £54,788 available, organisations are encouraged to submit expressions of interest for initiatives that promise lasting benefits to the community.
Councillor Debbie Harwood, Lead Member for Community Development and Engagement said, "This funding is an excellent opportunity to invest in facilities that help people lead active and healthy lives.
By directing developer contributions back into the local community, we can support projects that enhance sports and fitness provision for residents of all ages.''
The deadline for expressions of interest is Friday, 27 November.
