Man who drove van at two officers in Larkhall last month still on the run
A woman has since been arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
A man who deliberately drove a van at two officers in Larkhall last month is still on the run.
It happened around 2.10pm on Saturday July 25 on Glen Avenue while the two male police officers were carrying out their duties on Glen Avenue.
The 41-year-old and 43 yar-old were taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries and remain signed off from work.
A woman was also arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice on Friday August 14 in connection with the attempted murder of the officers.
Both men have since been discharged from hospital.
She is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff court on Tuesday, 18 August, 2026.
Detectives have visited more than 80 addresses across Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders and have reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage to track the man's movement since the incident.
Detective Inspector Alister Thom said “This act of violence left two police officers seriously injured and significant enquiries remain on going to trace the man responsible.
"We know he has been travelling throughout Lanarkshire, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders and know that he is being assisted by associates.
"If you know where he is, or have information which could assist us, I am urging you to do the right thing and contact us immediately in confidence."
