Traffic disruption due to Essex Police investigation
It's affecting the A127 at Rayleigh Weir
A main road in Essex is currently closed as police carry out an investigation.
The A127 London bound out of Southend is currently closed at the Rayleigh Weir junction.
It means there is disruption to Southend bound traffic. The High Street in Rayleigh and The Rayleigh Road are also severely impacted.
The force says nearby routes are also impacted and that the road will be closed for a number of hours. Motorists are being asked to find alternative routes and avoid the area where possible.
