Man arrested after woman's death in Epping

A woman in her 40s has been found dead at a property in Lower Swaines, Epping,.

Police were called at around 8.45am yesterday (Wednesday 10th June) after concerns were raised for her welfare.

Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

As part of early investigative work, a man in his 50s has been arrested and remains in custody.

Officers say the incident was confined to one address and poses no risk to the public and it's been confirmed that the man and the deceased woman were known to each other.
