Jaidee Bingham, an 18-year-old from Dagenham in Essex, has been jailed for a minimum of 16 years for his role in the killing of 51-year-old Anthony Marks in a county lines gang attack in London.

Marks suffered fatal injuries in the early hours of 10th August 2024 in King’s Cross after he was chased down and brutally attacked with a car bumper and a glass bottle. He died from his injuries more than a month later on 14th September 2024.

Bingham, of Merrielands Crescent, Dagenham, was found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey on 30th October 2025. Two other defendants, Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy and Mia Campos-Jorge, aged 18 and 19 respectively, were convicted of manslaughter for their roles in the attack.

Bradshaw-McKoy, of Longford Walk, Lambeth, was sentenced to three years and 11 months, while Campos-Jorge, of Milton Road, Tottenham, received three years and six months.

How the attack unfolded

Police believe the gang dispute began on the evening of 9th August 2024, when one of the teenagers was robbed. Later, Jaidee Bingham was tasked with finding out who had taken the drugs, and the group appeared to target Anthony Marks in relation to the crime.

Bingham and Bradshaw-McKoy confronted Anthony Marks during the early hours of 10th August, chasing him from Argyle Street to Whidbourne Street in London. CCTV footage obtained by detectives showed Bradshaw-McKoy wielding a car bumper, which was used during the violent assault.

Marks was struck repeatedly, both with the bumper and a gin bottle, while also being kicked. The attack only stopped when a member of the public chased the teenagers off with a cricket bat.

Marks managed to seek help at King’s Cross Station, but he later died in hospital.

Investigation work in Essex, London, and beyond

Detectives from the Met worked tirelessly to identify suspects across London. They tracked the movements of the gang through CCTV footage and forensic mobile phone analysis, eventually piecing together the events of the night and identifying the offenders’ links to a county lines drug operation.

Bingham was arrested on 4th October 2024 at his home in Essex, and Bradshaw-McKoy and Campos-Jorge were arrested in November and December 2024 in other parts of London.

Images and videos recovered from Bingham’s mobile phone showed him and the other suspects posing together after the attack in an apartment near the crime scene.

Speaking about the case, Detective Inspector Jim Barry said: “This is a particularly callous murder that gives an insight into the ruthless brutality of county lines gangs.

“The fact that Bingham and the others were teenagers does not excuse their violent actions as part of a drug line that has brought fear and intimidation to London’s streets.

“They believed they had escaped justice, even posing for selfies together and laughing about what they had done. There is a sense of justice that officers were able to use these to place them at the scene of the crime.”
