Nigel Farage, MP for Clacton and leader of Reform UK, has reported a substantial earnings sum of £270,000 for promoting gold bullion, marking the largest single payment received outside his parliamentary role.

This payment comes from Direct Bullion for an estimated four hours of work over three months, as stated in his latest register of financial interests.

Farage, serving as a brand ambassador for the company, has previously declared various payments from Direct Bullion.

In addition, his financial register entry reveals a payment of £18,402 for approximately six hours of presenting on GB News.

Farage is also embroiled in controversy regarding a £5 million gift from Thai billionaire Christopher Harborne, leading to ongoing questions by Parliament’s standards commissioner about whether he should have declared it.

Though Farage maintains the gift was not politically related—a stance he holds since it was prior to announcing his parliamentary candidacy in 2024—he has described the gift as meant for personal security and a "reward" for his Brexit campaigning.

Through interviews, Farage has labeled the gift as a "wholly private matter" while keeping details about its expenditure undisclosed.

Reform UK has been approached for a comment.
