The family of Lee Jackson, who died following an assault at Valley Farm Holiday Park in Clacton, have paid tribute to him.

Forty-year-old Jackson, from Frinton, was described as a man who brought "laughter, joy, and happiness" to everyone around him.

In a statement, his family said: "Lee Andrew Jackson was a loving father of four who brought laughter, joy, and happiness to everyone around him. Our son will be deeply missed by his family and friends."

Daniel Fox, 39, of Hampden Crescent, Warley, has been charged with Jackson's murder.

Fox faces additional charges, including three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, two counts of making threats to kill, and one count of burglary.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 19th October and is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 20th October.

Detective Inspector Tim Coyles, leading the investigation, expressed gratitude to his team for swiftly progressing the case, adding that support continues for Jackson's family following the community's shocked response.

He said: "I know this incident has caused a great deal of shock within the community around the holiday park and I want to thank the public for their support and understanding."
