Applications for Race Across The World close soon
Series 7 will air in 2027
BBC entertainment show Race Across The World has become insanely popular over the last few years, with the show now having five series, as well as three celebrity specials. With series six due hitting our screens in early April, applications for future series of the show are now open.
Due to the show's popularity, the BBC have now confirmed a seventh series of the show, despite the sixth series not even starting yet.
How to apply?
Applications for series seven of Race Across The World opened on Monday 5th January 2026.
The application website stated: 'We are now accepting applications for the next series of Race Across the World. This experience is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned traveller or total novice. We want to hear what undertaking a trip like this would mean to you, and with a cash prize at stake, to what lengths you would go to win.
'Maybe you’re looking to change something in your life? Or are keen to share the journey with someone special like a family member, best friend, or someone you’ve lost touch with. You may even have a very personal reason for wanting to travel at this time in your life or want to explore a particular part of the world'.
Applications are due to close on Sunday 29th March 2026.
When is filming?
According to the BBC, filming will take place over an eight 8 week period during September –and December 2026.
If applying, your passport must be valid until at least 31st July 2027.
When will it be on TV?
There's no word on an exact start date for the seventh series of Race Across The World, but it will be sometime in 2027.
Series six begins on Thursday 2nd April, in a new time slot of 8pm.
