2026 looks set to be the year for BTS fans, with a new album on the horizon, a world tour and now two Netflix shows. Last month, the streaming giant announced a documentary about the K-Pop group, along with a live stream of their comeback show from Korea, which took place on 21st March.
BTS who had been on a hiatus from 2022 until last year, revealed in January they would be going on a world tour, including two UK dates, which have now sold out. However, don't worry if you can't get to see them on tour, because Netflix live-streamed their Seoul comeback performance around the world.
Is there a trailer?
Yes, there is, it was released on 4th March and shows the bandmates talking about their excitement to get back to performing.
What happened during the show?
Fans had the chance to see the band on stage in their home country, taking to the stage at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on 21st March. This was the first time the band had reunited in full on stage, since they started their hiatus back in 2022.
This performance was to celebrate the release of the band's new album 'Arirang', released on 20th March 2026.
Netflix said of the event: 'The performance began with a fusion of traditional Korean instruments and modern elements to build a sense of anticipation. As 50 dancers marched in a grid formation on the upper platform of Gyeongbokgung Palace, splitting to the sides to form a path for BTS’ entrance, announcing the official start of the performance, "Hello, Seoul! We’re back."
''Body to Body', which incorporates a melody from the traditional Korean folk song 'Arirang', opened the event to roaring cheers from the audience. From its very first note, the performance set an emotional and symbolic tone while stunning visuals and intricate choreography immediately immersed the audience into the moment. The larger-than-life show featured a 12-song setlist, including eight tracks from the ARIRANG album performed live for the very first time ('Body to Body,' 'Hooligan', '2.0', 'Aliens', 'FYA', 'SWIM', 'Like Animals', 'NORMAL').'
