K-pop band ATEEZ joined Jordan Lee on Hits Radio to chat about their new music, EP 'Golden Hour: Part 5', and working with actress Chase Infiniti in the music video for their song 'Bad'.

Not only that, but ATEEZ headlined a night at American Express presents BST Hyde Park, with the band saying they loved bringing their music to the UK and performing on the iconic stage.

What inspired ATEEZ's new sound?

The band first released their debut album back in 2019, first achieving success in the UK in 2023, with their EP 'The World EP.2: Outlaw', followed by Top 20 songs 'Ice on My Teeth' and 'In Your Fantasy'.

Now as the band enter a new era with the release of their EP 'Golden Hour: Part 5', and the song 'Bad', they've opened up about the new music and the inspiration behind it.

Speaking to Jordan Lee, Hongjoong said: "So last year and like until this year we do many like shows and we went touring all around the world.

"And I think every Atiny and also every vibe of the series gave us a new inspiration to make this album. And also in this ‘Golden Hour' series, we have many challenges with the musical side. So like this album is quite different with the other series too.

"So yeah, so these days we just try for the next one and next one and new thing and new sounds."

When asked about exploring different sounds from around the world, Hongjoong continued: "Everyone have different music, like music taste, because like eight members have different music tastes.

"So yeah, kind of like this song is like from, we started from the Brazilian funk, but like continually we want to try more genres and also like someone who like, rock genre and someone who like Latin rhythm and also someone who like different or everyone have different tastes. So we want to keep trying and that's the one this album is one of that." (sic)

Working with Chase Infiniti

American actress and The Testaments star Chase Infiniti is a massive fan of the band, and stars in their 'Bad' music video. Speaking about working together, ATEEZ explained how it happened 'naturally', with the band thinking she would be a great fit for the video, and their management reaching out to her.

"Chase is a good dancer," they explained. "Let's make some dancing scene with her and then everything goes..."

The band went on to reveal that after working together, they are now friends with Chase, saying: "We were a really big fan of her too. And now we've become a friend now. We've become a friend." (sic)
