Fleur East was joined on Hits Radio by Alex Warren in the week he announced his second album 'Wildchild'. During the chat, Alex spoke about a deeply personal song, inspired by a letter written by his late dad, and how Adele's 'Rumour Has It' has influenced many of his songs.

The singer also revealed he and Ed Sheeran are good friends, they've known each other since around 2020, with Alex admitting it got to the point where he used to email Ed about any "minor inconvenience" in his life. The singer explained: "I'd be like, 'Hey, dude, this just happened', like a therapist at one point.

"The beginning of this year he hadn't responded in like two months. And I was like, my New Year's resolution is to stop emailing you every single time something happens in my life. And he just laughed at it."

Will Alex Warren and Ed Sheeran release a collab?

In 2025, Alex joined Ed at Coachella for his pop-up pub. The pair performed Alex's song 'Ordinary', much to their fans delight, but there's been no word on an official collab.

Since then, fans have been calling for a collab, but at the moment nothing has been confirmed. However, when Fleur asked if their friendship could lead to a collaboration, Alex admitted: "Yeah, one day I would love that, seriously, if he'd have me, but even then his friendship means a lot to me too. Or what's left of it!"

Who has Alex collaborated with?

Although Alex is known for his huge solo hit 'Ordinary', and follow-ups 'Fever Dream', and 'Fine Place To Die', the singer has also collaborated with a number of well-known artists, including Jelly Roll, Blackpink singer Rosé, Ella Henderson and Joe Jonas. So could Ed Sheeran be next? 👀
