Pixar is cueing up one more trip to Bonnie's toy box, and this time the competition isn’t the kid next door – it's her gadgets. The final Toy Story 5 trailer has dropped, teasing a clash between Bonnie’s beloved crew and a slick new smart device that thinks it knows best... Lilypad.
Woody, Buzz and Jessie are all back on duty, but the trailer hints that not everyone will make peace with the latest tech invading playtime. Expect some classic Toy Story chaos, a few new faces and the next big question - what happens to toys when screens take over?
What happens in the latest trailer?
The new trailer throws Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang into full‑on panic mode when Bonnie’s friends arrive armed with a high‑tech tablet called Lilypad. The device has its own ideas about how to help Bonnie make new friends, nudging the toys to the sidelines as it leads the fun with games, apps and perfectly planned playdates.
Jessie isn’t having any of it, quickly stepping up as the de facto leader while Woody adjusts to being back in the mix after his adventures with Bo Beep. The trailer shows the group staging increasingly desperate missions to win back Bonnie’s attention, including a traffic‑dodging dash that sneaks in a Pizza Planet truck cameo for long‑time fans. As old‑school imagination clashes with glossy screens, the toys are forced to decide whether to fight Lilypad or find a way to work with her.

What’s Toy Story 5 about?
Toy Story 5 follows Woody, Buzz, Jessie and their friends as their 'jobs' are threatened by electronics for the first time. When Bonnie’s world fills up with tablets and smart tech, the toys realise they are no longer the default choice at playtime and set out on a mission to prove they still matter.
Central to that shake‑up is Lilypad, a frog‑shaped smart tablet whose well‑meaning attempts to help Bonnie connect with others end up sidelining her favourite toys. The film leans into questions about screen time, friendship and what it means to be there for your kid when a device can always be 'on'.
Who is the voice cast?
Tom Hanks returns as Woody, with Tim Allen once again voicing Buzz Lightyear and Joan Cusack back as Jessie. Greta Lee joins the franchise as Lilypad, the talkative tablet at the centre of the playtime shake‑up.
They are joined by franchise favourites John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Annie Potts as Bo Peep and Bonnie Hunt as Dolly. Tony Hale is back as Forky, while Conan O’Brien voices Smarty Pants, a toilet‑training tech toy, and the ensemble also features Craig Robinson, Ernie Hudson, Kristen Schaal and Keanu Reeves.
Bad Bunny also joins the gang, voicing a new character called Pizza with Sunglasses, a mysterious but very cool toy shaped like a slice of pizza wearing shades.
Alan Cumming is voicing Evil Bullseye, which is a voiced, over‑the‑top 'playtime persona' or alter ego of Bullseye that appears in an imaginative sequence.
When is it out?
Toy Story 5 is set to open in cinemas on 19th June 2026. The final trailer arrives as advance tickets go on sale, so fans can already lock in their seats for opening weekend.

Moana
Release date: 10th July 2026
Cast: Catherine Laga'aia as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, John Tui as Chief Tui, Frankie Adams as Sina and Rena Owen as Gramma Tala.
Synopsis: It's thought that the storyline will follow the 2016 animated original, and the synopsis reads: 'In Disney's live-action adaptation of the beloved Oscar-nominated animated adventure, Moana answers the Ocean's call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people.'
Hexed
Release date: 25th November 2026
Cast: Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones lead the voice cast
Synopsis: Walt Disney Animation's logline reads: 'In Hexed, an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl named Billie (voice of Hailee Steinfeld) discovers secret magical abilities which, once unleashed, hurtle her into a spectacle-filled journey out of suburbia and into a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (voice of Rashida Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever'.
Gatto
Release date: 18th June 2027
Cast: TBC
Synopsis: According to Disney's Instagram, the film is all about a black cat named Nero: 'Indebted to a feline mob boss, Nero finds himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose...'
Frozen III
Release date: 24th November 2027
Cast: So far, we know that the characters of Elsa, Anna and Olaf will be part of the film - so it's safely assumed that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad will return.
Synopsis: There's no official word yet on what might happen in Frozen III, but reports speculate a wedding for Anna and Kristoff is on the horizon!
Lilo & Stitch 2
Release date: 26th May 2028
Cast: Maia Kealoha, Zach Galifianakis and Hannah Waddingham will return as Lilo, Dr. Jumba and the Grand Councilwoman respectively.
Synopsis: We don't know just yet!
Incredibles 3
Release date: 16th June 2028
Cast: There's no info about who will star in Incredibles 3, but we would imagine that Craig T. Nelson would return as Mr Incredible with Holly Hunter as Elastigirl and Sarah Vowell as Violet. Samuel L. Jackson also starred in both films as Lucius Best/Frozone.
Synopsis: Nothing has been announced just yet!
Coco 2
Release date: 2029
Cast: TBC
Synopsis: Not too much is known yet about the Coco sequel, but CEO Bob Iger said: "While the film is just in the initial stages, we know it will be full of humor, heart and adventure, and we can't wait to share more soon." The original film followed 12-year-old Miguel: 'A 12-year-old who dreamed of becoming a musician despite his family's generations-old ban on music, who ventures to the vibrant Land of the Dead to unlock the real story behind his family history.'
