July 2026 will mark a massive 24 years since Austin Powers in Goldmember was released, with Mike Myers reprising his iconic characters as the International Man of Mystery Austin Powers, as well as Dr Evil, and Fat B--tard. As well as introducing new character Goldmember (also played by Mike Myers) pop superstar Beyoncé joined as Foxxy Cleopatra.
Now more than two decades after the film hit cinemas across the world, Mike has confirmed a fourth one is going to happen! Despite many rumours over the years, this is the clearest indication for some time that another could be making its way to the big screen.
Speaking on Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party, during the France V Senegal match, Mike and his son Spike joined the host, wearing Liverpool shirts. Explaining that his "whole gene pool" is from Liverpool, Mike said that even his parents were from the city, so it was only him and his brothers who are Canadian.
During the game, Trevor then asked Mike the all-important question sent in by a fan: "Are we ever going to see an Austin Powers four?"
To which Mike responded with a very quick "yes!" Despite not elaborating any further, it seems that was enough to get everyone very excited.
Fans of the film have since been commenting, with one writing: 'AUSTIN POWERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS' (sic) and another saying: 'Please don't play with my emotions Sr. Austin Powers!'.
Another fan commented: 'WE NEED IT!!! Comedy is dead!!! 🏌🏽‍♂️💯💯', with a fourth quoting the lead character: 'GRRR BABY VERY GRRRRR!'. (sic)

The first Austin Powers film, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, was released back in 1997, and became a box office hit starring Elizabeth Hurley, Michael York, Robert Wagner, Seth Green and Mindy Sterling, alongside Mike Myers who played several characters.
Then, just two years later a second film, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, continued the success with Heather Graham joining as Felicity Shagwell. Elizabeth Hurley, who played Vanessa Kensington in both of the first films joined Hits Radio back in 2024 when she was asked about the prospect of a fourth film.
Speaking to Hits Radio, Elizabeth said: "Mike (Myers) was one of my favourite people in the world, I loved him. He was brilliant, a brilliant, brilliant comedian. I know he keeps talking in the press that he might do another Austin Powers.
"I don't know if he will... I don't know. Would I do it? He wanted me to, of course I would, I love Mike, I think he's a genius. I don't think I've been to those costumes anymore.
"Austin always said that he was gonna be like James Bond, he was gonna have a different girl every movie, which he did."
It was then in 2002 that Beyoncé joined for the third instalment, Austin Powers in Goldmember. However, since then there have been no further films.
