Christmas is all wrapped up with Hits Radio. We've invited some our friends to take over this holiday to keep you and your family entertained between festive feasting and the annual game of charades.
CHRISTMAS DAY
9am - 11am - OLLY MURS HITS CHRISTMAS TAKEOVER
What a way to start Christmas Day! Join Olly for an exclusive festive special as he plays the biggest hits, shares his favourite festive memories and gives you all the ChristMUR goss!
11am - 2pm - TAKE THAT WITH SARAH-JANE CRAWFORD
Gary, Howard and Mark will be joining Sarah-Jane to play some of their biggest hits and share stories from Take That - past, present and future.
2pm - 3pm - NON-STOP CHRISTMAS
We've Non-Stop Christmas music to keep you going through your Christmas lunch.
3pm - 4pm - ED SHEERAN, LIVE AND RE-LIVED
Straight after the Queen's speech we re-live the spine tingling up-close and intimate show Ed Sheeran performed recent for some lucky Hits Radio listener. If you couldn't be there, now is YOUR turn to experience his incredible live tracks.
HITS TAKEOVERS
Our series of take overs from some of the UK's hottest stars kicks off from 4pm on Boxing Day. Every day you'll get a special treat - from the sass of Jesy and the gang in the 'Merry Mixmas' takeover to the hilarious world of Anne-Marie and the coolest guy-next-door... George Ezra.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
On Christmas Eve join Hits Radio for all the excitement in the build-up to the big day, plus when you've finally wrapped your last present, let your hair down with our Hits Christmas Party from 6pm.
Then on Christmas Day, as well as all the biggest stars, make sure you join Mike Toolan for all the biggest Christmas hits from 4pm, just before we kick into another Hits Christmas Party from 7pm.
On Boxing Day take time-out from the leftovers to sample more of our tasty treats, including a special show with Gethin, Gemma and Dave between 12 and 4pm.
Then listen out from 5pm for some incredible highlights from our recent series of concerts. The Best of Hits Live has performances from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Cheryl, James Arthur, George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora and Tom Walker! It’s then party time with Ritchie Neville from 5ive for a Boxing Day Time Hop – he’ll have the biggest hits from the nineties and noughties from 7 till 10pm.
We’ll get you ready for the New Year in style! Before looking forward, we look back at some of the biggest hits and moments of 2018 with Sarah-Jane Crawford on 27th December from 7-10pm. Then New Years Eve itself is going to be HUGE! From 7pm get Hits Radio turned up loud for Hits Into New Year! Dave Kelly and Sarah-Jane are in the mix, taking you right through to 2019 non-stop and commercial-free.
