Paloma Faith reveals what's she learned from her three-year-old during lockdown
She's just announced she's pregnant with her second
After Paloma Faith announced the exciting news that she's expecting her second child, the singer joined us on the Saturday Morning Show to talk about her new single, 'Better Than This', mental health and what's she's learned during lockdown.
Speaking to Fleur East, James and Producer Matt on Hits Radio, Paloma revealed that she's done a lot during lockdown, such as learning new skills like how to record her own vocals, as well as spending much more time with her three-year-old.
The singer revealed that her daughter has taught her a lot during lockdown saying, "I've learnt a lot from her in this lockdown, like the fact that she's excited there are conkers now, or like, you might cook something new and she might think it's SO delicious...
Continuing, "And I think if I can try and harness those moments like a three-year-old, from them like they're little oracles, then you remind yourself, yes, there's loads of big awful stuff, but if you shrink it tiny and just focus on those little things, then that's how I deal with it."
Paloma went on to reveal that every night, her and her daughter will list three things that they're grateful for from the day. Aww!
Spending time in lockdown has been tough for a number of people, but Paloma says she's been keeping herself busy, she started writing her new album before the lockdown started, but once it had started she decided to scrap most of it!
"It didn't feel appropriate," Paloma explained, "So I scrapped loads of stuff and then started again, because I wanted to put something out that felt relevant for the time."
Paloma has now released her new single, 'Better Than This' with a very raw music video, which she explained was inspired by Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U'.
As well as announcing a new album and tour, Paloma has confirmed she is expecting her second child after six rounds of IVF, she announced the lovely news with a relatable message on her socials.

Anne Hathaway announced the news that she was expecting on Friday 19th June 2026. The actress shared a video on Instagram showing herself wearing a cropped white top and long skirt, showing off her baby bump.
Leigh-Anne
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has announced she is expecting her third child, sharing a cute video accompanied by her song 'Heaven'. The singer, who is already mum to twins, with her husband Andre Gray, announced the lovely news writing: 'As one chapter ends, another begins 🥹💚'. Although she's not announced her exact due date, in early September, Leigh-Anne confirmed she's now into the third trimester.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
American singer Ciara announced in September that she's expecting her fifth child, her fourth with her husband Russell Wilson! The couple announced their news on Instagram in a cute video, with Ciara writing: 'One more person to Love 🖐🏽🥺🖤'. (sic)
