Willie Peters warned his Hull KR side they would need to improve quickly after a "nowhere near good enough" performance saw them thrashed 58-6 by Leeds in Las Vegas.

Maika Sivo banished his injury woes with a stunning four-try display as the Rhinos ran riot, crossing 10 times as the reigning Betfred Super League champions suffered a second straight defeat in the competition.

The Robins, stunned by newly-promoted York in their opening game, set their Super League woes aside to win the World Club Challenge by beating Brisbane Broncos 10 days ago but Peters was angered by his side's Sin City showing.

"To be honest the people I feel sorry for are the fans who paid hard-earned money to come here today and watch that," Peters said.

"To spend or save money to come and watch their team play and we deliver a performance like that, it's just nowhere near good enough.

"We need to all look at ourselves - myself at the top of that - and find out why we got that performance.

"We need to make sure that we action more than words and do something about it, because if that's the template of what we're going to do this season, it's going to be a long season."

Fijian winger Sivo joined the Rhinos from the NRL ahead of the 2025 campaign but missed the entire season after tearing his ACL.

"We came here to make a statement and we did it tonight," he said on Sky Sports. "The boys, every single one of us, did our job tonight.

"We're taking it week by week and hopefully keep getting the win and keep celebrating."

Sivo had already acrobatically prevented Mikey Lewis landing a 40-20 kick to the corner before he started doing his best work at the other end of the pitch, forcing his way over in the corner after eight minutes.

An outstretched Sivo claimed a second following a lengthy video review before Brodie Croft, Keenan Palasia and Ryan Hall went over before the break - the latter after a 70-metre burst from Sivo.

Croft added a sixth after the interval before Sivo completed his hat-trick 15 minutes into the second half.

Joe Burgess grabbed a consolation try 15 minutes from time for Hull KR but that was only a temporary intermission from the Sivo show as he ran in a fourth before Cooper Jenkins added a late brace to bring up the 50-point mark and take Leeds' try total into double figures.

Leeds coach Brad Arthur said: "We wanted to make sure that we did ourselves proud and the fans and did the competition justice.

"I wasn't anticipating it in that way but I was anticipating the toughness, the physicality and real hunger that our boys showed. It's our way of showing our appreciation for a great opportunity - we've had a ball."
