Two Teenagers Seriously Injured in East Yorkshire School Bus Crash

Two teenagers have received treatment for serious injuries after a crash involving a school bus in East Yorkshire.

Emergency Services were called to the A1035 near Sigglesthorne yesterday afternoon.

A 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl are in hospital with serious injuries after the collision after school yesterday.

Another twenty nine passengers, all aged between 11 and 16 have suffered minor injuries, after their school bus was involved in a collision with a tractor.

Humberside Police theyre working to establish the circumstances of the collision, and are appealing to speak with witnesses.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

"Emergency services attended, and a 15-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy have been taken to hospital to receive medical treatment to serious injuries. Twenty-nine passengers between the ages of 11- and 16 years-old suffered minor injuries.

"Road closures were put in place at the scene to allow emergency services to work safely, the road has since been reopened.

"Investigations are ongoing, and officers are carrying out a number of lines of enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision.

"If anyone was in the area around the time of the incident, or if you have any information, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that may assist us with our enquiries, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 287 of 22 January."
