A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault by touching
A 47-year-old man has been arrested after two reports of sexual assault in Grimsby.
Officers were called on Monday (27th October) about an incident in Bargate, and on Wednesday (29th October) about an assault on Frusher Avenue.
Police say that both women were allegedly touched inappropriately over their clothes.
The man was arrested yesterday (30th October) on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault by touching.
A Humberside police spokesperson said, "It is reported the first incident occurred on Monday, 27 October at around 5.15pm on Bargate, and the second report on Wednesday, 29 October at 5.15pm on Frusher Avenue.
"In both incidents, it is reported each woman was walking when they were approached by a man from behind who allegedly touched them inappropriately over their clothing.
"The women were able to leave the area and seek safety, and the man is then believed to have fled the scene."
Humberside police are reassuring the local community that they're treating the incidents as a priority.
