Three hospitalised and two arrested following crash in Holderness, Hull

Three people have been hospitalised with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Hull last night (8th April).

One of those taken to hospital, a 24-year-old woman, is believed to have life-changing injuries.

Two people, a 33-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, have been arrested in connection with the colliison.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said "At approximately 8pm on last night, it is reported that a Red Jeep Avenger was travelling northbound from Williamson Street onto Holderness Road when it collided with a Silver Honda Civic travelling westbound on Holderness Road.

"It is believed following the collision the Jeep came to a stop after colliding with a building at the junction."

The 24-year-old woman hospitalised was a passenger in the Honda.

The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old man, and an occupant of the Jeep, a 33-year-old man, were also seriously injured.

Police say they've not been able to establish who was driving the Jeep.

They said "Enquires so far have not been able to establish the driver of the Jeep, as a result two men have been arrested; A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving and driving whilst over the alcohol limit.

"A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injured by dangerous driving and driving whilst above the limit of a controlled drug."

Officers are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
