Loki Blyth convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent
Loki Blyth, a 44-year-old man from Scunthorpe, has been found guilty of injuring another man by deliberately striking him with a vehicle, leaving him in critical condition.
The incident took place on the evening of 19th January 2026 on East Common Lane in Scunthorpe.
The 50-year-old victim was left in life-threatening condition after being hit, and the driver fled the scene.
Following extensive police enquiries, including witness interviews and CCTV review, Blyth was linked to the crime.
Video footage identified Blyth and two others entering a white Ford Focus, driving in convoy with a white van, and then swapping vehicles to flee.
Officers later located the abandoned Ford Focus on Rochester Close in Scunthorpe.
Though Blyth was arrested for unrelated offences later on the evening of the incident, further investigation connected him to the deliberate hit.
Initially denying all charges, Blyth pled guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent on day three of his trial at Grimsby Crown Court, but he was ultimately found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Blyth has been remanded into custody, with sentencing scheduled for 21st September at Grimsby Crown Court.
Three others connected to the incident remain on conditional bail.
Detective Constable Anna Hewins from the Major Crime Team commented on the case: “This was a violent and deliberate attack which left a man in critical condition. Blyth is a dangerous, conniving individual and is known to try to deceive police and individuals by operating under his alias, Lee Graham or Adonis Blyth.”
