There's a police presence in Hull's Queen Victoria Square in Hull to help manage what officers are describing as a planned peaceful protest.

The roads in and around the area remain unaffected at this time

Humberside Police say they're around to ensure people can go about their lawful business and to protect the right to peaceful protest.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said:

"Officers are in attendance in order to allow people to go about their lawful business and to protect the right of individuals to take part and exercise their right to peaceful protest.

"The roads in and around the area remain unaffected at this time and we are liaising with representatives from all sides to address any concerns.

"We are committed to fulfilling our duty to protect the human rights of all the groups and individuals with an interest in this situation."
