Police raids lead to eight arrests in East Riding of Yorkshire
Drugs worth £20,000 have been seized from addresses in Driffield and Bridlington
A comprehensive police operation in East Riding of Yorkshire has resulted in the arrest of eight people and significant seizures of drugs.
Yesterday morning (Tuesday 18th August 2026), the Northbank Organised Crime Group Team led an operation that saw nine warrants executed simultaneously across various locations.
The operation was supported by officers from multiple teams, including Kinetic Intervention, Southbank OCG, Proactive units, Neighbourhood Policing Officers, British Transport Police, and West Yorkshire Police.
Nine Misuse of Drugs Act warrants were executed at addresses on Southfield Road, The Close, Middle Street North, Eastgate North, and Middle Street South in Driffield, alongside Harland Road in Bridlington.
The coordinated effort resulted in the arrest of four men aged 19, 21, 25, and 45, as well as two women aged 39 and 46, on suspicion of being involved in the supply of class A drugs.
The operation also led to the seizure of over 1kg of suspected drugs with an estimated value of £20,000, cash, mobile phones, and suspected drug paraphernalia.
The 21-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs, and a 24-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
All eight arrested individuals are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
