Police appeal after serious assault in Hull

Detectives are appealing for help, to identify two boys in the CCTV images, after a serious assault in Hull at approximately 8.30pm on the evening of Sunday, 31 March 2024.

A 62-year-old man sustained serious head injuries after reportedly being assaulted by a group of teenagers on Paragon Street.

Officers believe the two teenagers in these images may be able to assist with ongoing enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Steven Bowley said: ‘’Since the incident, detectives have carried out extensive lines of enquiry, including reviewing hours of CCTV footage, conducting house-to-house visits, and speaking with witnesses.

‘’A part of our enquiries so far, six teenagers have been interviewed, this includes two 17-year-old boys who were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both have since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

‘’I appreciate the length of time that has passed since the incident, however we have had to ensure all possible lines of enquiry could be explored before we were in a position to release CCTV images of two boys we would like to speak to.''
